University Of Bristol Squash Club

Squash is a great sport for those who have never tried it; fast-paced, a fantastic workout and a great social activity, not to mention being voted the world's healthiest sport by Forbes!

Here at the club, we offer the opportunity for players of all standards to get involved, from complete beginners, through to intermediate and elite players.

Our club is currently the 2nd BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport Competition) point earner for the University, with the Women’s 1st team ranked 4th nationally and our top 2 Men's team in Division 1. We are currently ranked 4th overall in the country.

We offer 4 types of membership that can suit any level of commitment and skill. If you’re interested in becoming part of our club, please see below for further details.

If the constant exercise isn't up your street, you're still welcome to join our Sports Socials each Wednesday. With a new pre-drink spot each week, whether it's a pub or someone's house, we then go onto meet all the other sports clubs in the nightclub Bunker. There are 3 SCORE events throughout the year (in September, at Christmas and at the end of the year) which are themed nights for every sport in the Uni - it's a go hard or go home kind of night!

We also have the Annual Christmas Dinner and the End of Year Dinner which are black tie events, usually held in some of the amazing local restaurants and bars Bristol has. Each summer we also run a tour - in 2015 we hit up Croatia for a week and in 2016 we were sunning it up in Portugal. It's an amazing week to finish off the season and to wind down after exams.

Our main club is located at the courts in Bristol Grammar School, just a 5-minute walk from the University precinct.

As you walk along Elmdale Road, you will see a hedge alongside the pavement (depending on which way you are walking down the street). About halfway there is an iron gate leading to some steep steps; the courts are located at the top.
